I choose flowers for the moment they are at their best, grow and source as close to home as possible, then put every stem together by hand in my St Albans studio.
British-grown
Wherever possible our stems come from British growers and local cutting gardens, so they arrive fresher and travel fewer miles.
Foraged and found
Hedgerow finds, seed heads and wild grasses bring the texture and movement that make an arrangement feel alive.
Kind to the planet
No floral foam, plastic-free wrapping, compostable ties and nothing wasted. Offcuts go back to the garden.

Meet the florist
Hello, I'm Kate
By day I'm a vet in St Albans, looking after the animals of Hertfordshire. By evening and at weekends, I'm up to my elbows in stems. Flowers have been my happy place since I was small, trailing round my grandmother's cutting garden with a pair of blunt scissors. A few years ago I finally trained properly and studied floristry at college, and Picks Floristry grew from there.
Being a vet has taught me patience, a steady hand and a real respect for living things, and I bring all three to every arrangement. I only take on a handful of commissions at a time, so each one gets my full attention. My favourite flower? The humble sweet pea, for the scent alone.
Fig, my little spaniel cross, supervises everything from a spot by the buckets.

Bespoke bouquets
Hand-tied bouquets for birthdays, thank-yous, new babies, just because, or the moments words can't quite cover. Wrapped in paper, tied with twine, finished with a Picks sticker.
